AD Code Registration

An AD Code links your bank account to customs for export transactions — without it registered at each port you ship from, your export shipping bills simply cannot be processed.

SERVICE OVERVIEW

What is AD Code Registration?

An Authorised Dealer (AD) Code is a 14-digit code issued by the bank branch through which an exporter routes its foreign exchange transactions. It must be registered with customs at every port from which the exporter intends to ship goods, linking the exporter's IEC and bank account to that specific port for processing shipping bills and receiving export proceeds. Without a registered AD Code at the relevant port, the customs system will not generate a shipping bill, even if all other export documentation is complete.

Obtain AD Code letter from bank. The exporter's bank branch issues a formal AD Code letter confirming the export transaction account.
02
Identify ports of export. We confirm every port or airport from where export shipments will be made.
03
Register AD Code on ICEGATE. AD Code is registered against each identified port using ICEGATE portal and DSC.
04
Verify registration status. We confirm the AD Code is active and correctly linked before shipment.
